Sperry Topsiders

Sperry Topsiders have been an American favorite since 1935. Paul Sperry was inspired by his dog Prince's paw and came up with a design to maximize traction. The original shoe, in it's variations, goes in and out of mainstream fads every now and then, but for truly classic dressers, coastal folk, and preps alike, this shoe never goes out of style. My tried and true Original 2-eye and Bluefish 2-eye have lasted me 8 years so far and have no signs of giving up anytime soon.I don't really wear mine with jeans, but these shoes are my go to when I wear chino pants and shorts. Also NO SOCKS! (-:

I received a pair of super comfy pink sperrys from a family I babysit for at Christmas this year (love that they know me so well!) and it had me curious on other new offerings. I just checked out the site a few weeks ago and found some fun options, including a collaboration with one of my favorite brands, Milly! They also had a few other cute options. I can't make up my mind! Want em all!

The Sun'll Come Out Tomorrow!

So today I haven't felt particularly fashion forward or anything. It's gloomy and chilly. I pretty much have a "go to" look on days like these....striped shirt+ non-denim type of pants+ quilted jacket+boots. I don't know why, it's just my comfy standby when I can't get by wearing yoga pants and a pullover!

So I've been thinking y'all.....

I'm going to start up my blog again. This time FOR REAL. Hope to garner more followers! I've got some great posts planned!

Edit: Obvi I haven't done this yet...SOON?!?!?!

Here's what I've been up to lately:

- I want to share personal things in this blog but will keep some stuff to myself! I have been off the radar mostly online lately. I deactivated my Facebook last August and made my Twitter private. I decided to update my LinkedIn page the other day though and it's weird putting all my personal info out there online for people to see. I really have come to enjoy my privacy! Still not activating Facebook though- I might go one step further and delete it!

-I started an internship at an advocacy and education organization for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I'm loving it!

-After some long nights, anxiety, and careful deliberation, I have settled on my FINAL school to finish up at. I also decided that I want to work in the Public Health arena.

-I have been volunteering more and joined my mom's nonprofits young professionals group.

-Started going to church more! Definitely feeling like I need to be more grounded in my faith.

-Life is good! I'm 23, mostly healthy, happy, and excited to see what 2012 will bring!

Mulberry Bayswater

I have been in love with this bag for awhile...I want it bad! But my 20-something college student budget doesn't allow for this type of purchase! I want the "Small" Bayswater and even that is a stretch!  "Mom please??? I will wear it everyday!"

Inspired by Atlantic-Pacific

I have a total girl crush on Bee from Atlantic-Pacific and have been obsessing over an outfit she posted a week ago of pink and navy. She not only wore my two favorite colors, she wore two other things I adore STRIPES and FLARED PANTS. This outfit is such a dream. However, in my day-to-day life I need something a little more practical, so I came up with my own interpretation.
